JESUS CUEVAS

                       Maestro Cuevas was born in the city of Oaxaca de Juárez in 1982. Starting his concern for painting at an early age, he attended the children's painting workshop “RUFINO TAMAYO”; Later, with the concern of continuing in this discipline, he began a self-taught learning, leading him to participate in various painting contests with satisfactory results. Inspired by this, in 2002 he entered the SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS OF THE UNIVERSIDAD AUTÓNOMA BENITO JUÁREZ DE OAXACA to begin his professional studies in the plastic arts. After completing these studies in 2006, he was chosen by the teacher Shinzaburo Takeda to be awarded a scholarship and attend SUMMER ART at the CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY in Fresno California. Since 2002 Jesus Cuevas has had an active participation in the cultural field of Oaxaca, he has had more than 30 group exhibitions inside and outside the State, as well as abroad; 15 individual exhibitions in the State of Oaxaca and around the World.
